I'm Sorry Sweet Readers

It's quiet now so let me update you....
I don't know what happened but Tuesday morning when my wife came looking for me I was lying on the floor bleeding from a gash near my hairline. I don't remember anything but a flash here or there, I remember hearing her calling my name....I remember being lifted onto a stretcher and I remember a lot of doctors and nurses....
I was admitted to the hospital but didn't get into a room for several hours....slowly the fog began to clear only to be followed by the worst headache I have ever experienced.....then there were more doctors and lights in my eyes and questions questions questions.....but I was so tired I just wanted to sleep....they wouldn't let me.....I saw them talking to my wife who looked terrible...her hair a mess and it looked like she didn't have any makeup on.....she was nodding at them.....soon I was being scanned and imaged and x-rayed and poked and prodded and asked more questions....
Back in the room my wife and I finally had a moment of privacy! She hugged me carefully because of IV's and monitors and things attached to me....
I felt her shudder and I knew she was crying.....
She said how much I had scared her.....seeing me on the floor with blood on my face and on the floor....she thought I was dead.....when I didn't answer her  she was sure it was all over for me....She called 911 as soon as she found me and they arrived quickly and well I already said what happend after that....
Now I've been given a full neurological workup....and a plastic surgeon stitched up my head with the tiniest little stitches I've ever seen....he was nice...he told me there would be such a small scar no one would notice it and my hair would cover it.....
I'm still having a little issue with time....She stayed with me all night Tuesday....yesterday her assistant Stacy brought her a change of clothes and her bag and in no time she looked terrific....I asked her to please go home and get some rest....she said she would be back later after all the tests were done and we could have dinner together.....I asked her for a robe and my laptop...
I didn't get a chance till now to update my blogs.....Nurse Ironbottom, or whatever her name is, kept coming in here and shutting me down scolding me that I needed to rest....
So that's why there's been nothing from me for a couple of days....I'm hoping they'll let me out of here today and once I'm home I can get back to normal.....
I notice my cage is off....I meant to ask my wife how that happened....I'm guessing she has more to tell me than she's already told me....

  3. Kaaren,

Please, relax, get healthy, and don't worry or apologize for not blogging. Back in September I had to have my prostate removed due to a cancer scare. It's been six months and I'm still not back to normal. RECOVERY TAKES TIME!

So don't worry about this other stuff. Take all of your energy and funnel it into recovery. Listen to your doctors and do exactly what they tell you. All of us here will still be here when you are healthy.

My best wishes for a speedy recovery!

    Love you girl,

  4. Dear Kaaren,

Oh my! What a scary report! The best news is you are writing to us and, finally, making sense. My mother used to say when I hit my head on something that she hoped it had "knocked some sense into me." Could that have been a by-product of your tragedy? Let's hope so. LOL!

But on a serious note, I'm so sorry to hear that you are either hurt or not well. Do you know what happened yet? Did you have a stroke? I hope not. Or, at least, if you did, I hope it was extremely mild and that the doctors will figure out what caused it and help you to address the problem. You know, this strikes a chord with me as I often worry about the day the wonderful people I've met on-line may suddenly disappear without explanation, and wonder what happened to them, never to know. As you know, you are one of my bestest friends on here and I'd be devastated if you were ever hurt or sick or, worse, gone forever. Please listen to the doctors and take good care of yourself.

You are the sweetest and most loving sissy friend ever Kaaren. Please get well soon.

    I love you,

    Leeanne

    1. It looks like I tripped and fell catching my head on the corner of a table as I went down....I don't remember it but they say short term amnesia isn't unusual in head trauma like that.
I also worry when people I meet here just disappear and I'm so afraid one day that well....
You know what you are to me and I don't have to repeat it here.....
I should be home later and maybe I can even get a post up later tonight
You are still my dream girl and I love you too!!
Kisses and hugs and then some more kisses...
      Your friend

  5. OMG, that is some scary stuff. Do they have any idea what happened? Stroke? Low blood pressure? Some kind of migraine? Be careful, rest up, and get better.

Sending best wishes and big hugs your way.

  6. Dear Kaaren,

I hope you're feeling better and get released soon. But more importantly, I hope they determine the cause and you get back to be completely healthy.

I too had a bit of a scare with a trip to the hospital about a year ago, although nothing quite like yours. It can be very frightening.

You are so special to so many of us sissies! Please take care of yourself!

    Hugs & kisses,

    Coco

    1. Hi Coco, I'm supposed to be out of here this afternoon....they couldn't find any reason so they think it was a trip and fall....I hope to be able to get a regular post up by tonight.
You and all the sissies I've met here are special to me too!!!
      Hugs and kisses

  8. Oh no.. I am hoping it was just a slip and fall, and hit your head (I assume that was why they did not let you sleep - concussion). Your wife likely unlocked you waiting for the ambulance. (I am not a nurse, though I played one last Halloween. Really, I did)

    1. Sweet Fiona, if you were a doctor here think of the time we all could have saved....it seems like it was a trip and fall,,,at least they can't find any other reason....As for the cage....well there's a story there and I'll tell it on the blog when I get a chance...I'm going home later today and I hope to get a post up by tomorrow night!
If you saved your nurse costume maybe I could get my wife to hire you to take care of me....
